Full In-Depth Comparison:
CPU
Both the chips are manufactured on Qualcomm’s 8nm fabrication process, which means both the chipsets are equally power-efficient. Additionally, both of thest support eight cores, with the big.LITTLE configuration, but the internal cores and clock speeds differ slightly.

The Snapdragon 730G is made of Kryo 470 cores, while the Snapdragon 720G comes with the new Kryo 465 cores. There isn’t much of the difference rather than the names such as both having two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 cores. The slight difference is that the big cores on the 720G are clocked 100MHz higher than the 730G.

GPU
The  GPU performance is necessary because the PUBG Mobile craze is on the hype. Looking into this the Qualcomm has included the Adreno 618 GPU in both the Snapdragon 720G and 730G chipsets. The chip offers features like the Game Fast Loader, Jank Reducer, HDR gaming, Game Anti-Cheat Extensions, and more.
Also both chips offer 75 percent performance improvement than Snapdragon 712 chipset.

ISP (Image Signal Processor)
Both the chips have  Spectra 350 ISP but Snapdragon 720G includes a downgraded, lighter variant of Spectra 350, dubbed the Spectra 350L but both support up to 4K at 30FPS video recording.
Additionally both the chips support 4K at 30FPS recording, Portrait Mode, 1080p slo-mo at 120 FPS, and 720p slo-mo video capture at 960 FPS.

AI Capabilities
AI is playing important roles in smartphones nowadays. The Snapdragon 730G comes with Hexagon 688 DSP (4th-gen AI Engine), while the latter features the Hexagon 692 DSP. The latest AI engine comes with improved Hexagon Tensor Accelerator and Scalar Accelerator which offers additional AI improvements, improved experience with AI assistant and image editing apps.

Connectivity
Both the chipsets come equipped with the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem, offering peak download speeds up to 800Mbps and upload speeds up to 150Mbps. Both chipsets are 802.11ax (or Wi-Fi 6) ready, supports Bluetooth 5.0, Dual SIM Dual VoLTE, VoWiFi (i.e. voice over Wi-Fi), and more.
Only think that is different is the support for India’s NavIC positioning system. With Snapdragon 720G device you can latch on to any of the six NavIC satellites for improved GPS support.

Snapdragon 720G vs Snapdragon 730G: Which One is for you?
As you have looked into the comparison we can only state that both are equally good. Therefore you can choose any smartphone which will give you best value for money.
