With all leaks and tweaks ahead of Apple’s big event, everybody knew Apple would launch something incredible to mark its 10th anniversary in mobile business. World was getting bored of iPhones as there were minimal design changes since the launch of iPhone 6 and there were no feature improvements. Android was taking a leap forward with its new features and iPhone stood dull in the market and this led to decline in the sales of iPhone. So to bring the revolution in mobile market Apple launched its high end handset named as iPhone X spoken as iPhone ten. iPhone X is represented as “the future of smartphone” in Apple’s words.

DESIGN:

iPhone X doesn’t look like any other phone in the market neither it look like old iPhones. It has a unique design with a screen covering head to foot, with a small trapezoidal notch taken out of the top where Apple packed selfie cameras and lot of sensors. Apple has brought new 'all-glass' design with IP67 certification. Glass is said to be best in class and tougher than any glass used in phones ever. Speaking of dimensions, iPhone X measures 143.6x70.9x7.7 mm, and weight 174 gram. As known something has to be compromised to attain something new, so Apple has ditched Touch ID to bring full screen design.

DISPLAY:

iPhone X contains 5.8 inch Super Retina (2436x1125) OLED edge-to-edge display made by Samsung. For the first time apple has introduced OLED display in an iPhone which has many advantages over LCD where black pixels also lit up a bit. OLED display provide the contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1 and true tone technology for white balancing of the screen in different conditions. People were concerned about the brightness of the OLED display but it has an impressive 625 cd/m2 max brightness and features 3D touch.

PLATFORM:

Under the hood iPhone X is powered by A11 Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture having 4 billion Transistors. It is a six core CPU with four low performing cores and two high performing cores. Unlike A10 chip it also contains second-generation performance controller, which permits the A11 to use all six cores simultaneously thus enhancing device performance tremendously. According to Apple A11 chip provides 70% Faster Multi-Thread Workloads than A10 chip. A11 is integrated with three core GPU which provides 30% faster performance than A10 chip. For multitasking device has 3 GB Ram with 64/256 GB storage options. Thus iPhone X is just beast in means of RAW power.

CAMERA:

The main feature point of the device is its advanced cameras as it features 12MP wide-angle and telephoto cameras with Wide-angle: ƒ/1.8 aperture, Telephoto: ƒ/2.4 aperture and features optical zoom, digital zoom up to 10x. Both cameras feature OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Camera is so advanced that it can capture 4k videos at 60fps and 1080p videos at 240fps. No device in market has a  hardware so advanced that can capture video at 240 fps.

Coming to secondary camera it features 7 MP sensor with f2/2 aperture, capable of recording 720p videos at 240fps. It also features face detection, HDR, panorama etc. Camera is so advanced as it features true depth technology useful for analyzing more than 50 different muscle movements to mirror your expressions in 12 Animoji.

FACE ID:

Since to go with bezel less design, Touch ID was compromised so to fill the hole, apple came up with Face ID. "Unlock your phone simply by looking at it" in words of Apple.
Phone uses 7mp front true depth camera and multiple sensors, including a sophisticated dot projector to map your face. It even works in the dark thanks to an infrared camera. Thus FaceID is advanced version of face unlock available in Samsung devices, which can be spoofed by picture but Face ID uses machine learing and advanced tech that make it better than Touch ID, as Touch ID failing you has a 1 in 50,000 chance. The chance a thief (or the FBI) can look at your iPhone and unlock it with Face ID? It's now a 1 in 1,000,000 chance.


BATTERY and WIRELESS CHARGING:



iPhone X supports fast charging and can charge 50% in just 30 mins. iPhone X claims to last 2 hours longer than previous year’s iPhone 7 that amounts to full day battery life. With low power mode present in iOS 11 it can last even more. As all other companies launched phones with wireless charging long ago. Apple was really lagging behind, so finally Apple brought wireless charging in the iPhone. Apple launched AirPower Pad which can charge multiple devices simultaneously. So now charging your iPhone is as easy as dropping it on the wireless charging pad.

AUGMENTED REALITY:

Apple is very eager to bring AR technology than VR and CEO Tim Cook mentions AR during every Apple's quarterly earnings calls these days. iOS 11 beta is transforming world into virtual playground and with powerful processor it can handle complex AR task easily. PRICING:

iPhone X covers price tag of $999 or inr 89000 for 64GB model and $1149 or inr 102000 for 264 GB model. And will be availabe for purchase on 2nd November 2017.
